Characters/pairings: Centered on Renji/Rukia post chapter 181, also has a large amount of Byakuya, Ukitake, and other Shinigami.

Summary: Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya readjust to life after Rukia’s little adventure.
Comments: This is actually something that I’ve been meaning to rec ever since the author posted up the first fic, but I wanted to wait until she was farther in the arc so I could rec it all at once. But then the author made a nice, handy little post with links to all the fics in the arc so far, and how could I resist? Anyway, branch/alltrees whatever her name is has been one of my more favorite authors for a while, and this is a lovely, lovely arc dealing realistically with the issues that Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya would face after Rukia returns. But it’s more about the three of them growing, almost. And despite being Rukia/Renji, it really does an excellent job of developing a relationship between all three of them. (Oddly, I had not thought of a Byakuya/Renji/Rukia threesome before this rec. Now I am, though.) And I am doing an utterly horrible job of reccing this. Sorry. Just take my word for it and read it, okay?
