Characters/Pairings: Focuses on Mal/Simon, but the entire cast appears over the course of the arc.

Summary: Simon is broken. Mal teaches him how to let go.
Comments: I have a massive weak spot for well-done completely fucked up relationships. And this, well, is. The course of their relationship is excellently plotted, and while I can argue with Simon being as broken in the beginning as he is in this, I also don’t find it entirely implausible either. It’s kind of a slow start, but I liked it a great deal once the author started pulling in the entire cast.
