Comments: You know, this is the only Axel/Roxas fic I’ve found yet that deals with Axel the way he was in Chain of Memories. And he’s HOT in CoM, so I am bitter that they ignore that side of him. And I find this fic simultaneously kind of hot and interesting.

Summary: A BNF must sail through many troubled waters. With the aid of Arc, Mina de Malfois glides effortless through scandals that would destroy a lesser BNF.
Comments: A brilliant, brilliant parody of online fandom. I can’t begin to count the number of times I’ve seen Mina under a different name and in different fandoms, and this is an utterly brilliant parody of all the BNFs who honest to god think they are god’s gift to fandom. And Arc is so perfect. Their relationship is quite clearly modelled after Jeeves and Wooster, and I just love the way Arc calmly handles all the little problems Mina gets herself into with her own ego. Seriously, this is one of the best fics I’ve seen for ages.

Comments: Okay, my first reaction was OMG moonsheen wrote an Axel/Roxas fic. And then I read it and was overcome with sheer glee. Axel’s random quoting and unending snarkiness is incredibly fun. Roxas’ characterization is just perfect. And their interaction is just great. And the casual plotting that’s always going on in Organization XIII never fails to amuse me.

Comments; I loved this fic just because it fit all of them. Perfectly. I thought Ino’s and Sakura’s sections were the best, but I enjoyed all of them beecause they really captured the difficulties the Naruto series has with letting a character be both feminine and strong, while keeping the characters as very much themselves.

Comments: You know, it’s odd. I wasn’t going into this particularly expecting to enjoy it, despite liking the author. But it’s just very well-written. It starts off slow, but Ginny’s very human and very flawed, and Tom’s just such a magnificently manipulative son-of-a-bitch. I have a few issues with the way Ginny discovered Tom’s manipulativeness, but most of that can be put down to the fact that I’m not a twelve year old girl just discovering that her best friend was using her. So it’s mostly irrelevant. Overall, I just really did enjoy the fic.

Also, I have a question for anyone reading this. Which do you prefer, a site that updates once or twice a day, or a site that updates irregularly but with more fics with each update?

What I usually try to do, when I hit a rush of reccing a lot of fics in a short period of time, is postdate them so they’ll be posted at preset times over the next week or so. This is mainly so when I go through dry periods where I’m not seeing any fic that appeals to me, I still have something posted. The question is, would you prefer it if I just posted everything as I got it? Or would you rather I set it up so there’s something going up pretty much every day? I ask because I’m farther ahead than I’ve been since I figured out how to do this, and feel kind of guilty that I have 13 days worth of fics hidden in my to be posted section. So, what do you guys think?

Comments: Why had no one thought of this before? The concept of this fic is just perfect. And it is just amazingly well-executed. Byakuya’s discomfort with the whole situation, while at the same time, there’s that same titanium-hard honor about him that attracted me to him in the first place.
Author says it may be first in a series, or it could be a one-shot. I’ll leave it at that.

Ice Cream, Kittens, and Puppies

Comments: Yuzuriha has always been one of those characters that I just have a vaguely irrational crush on. And her Outo version talking to Fai about his relationship with Kurogane is just wonderful.
