Comments: Oddly, I’d never thought of Lina/Naga before the first time I read this fic, umpteen years ago. And it remains the only good Lina/Naga fic I’ve ever read. It just…really works well with both their personalities, and I can see it. And I like Chris Davies’ writing style.

Comments: Poor Gourry. Poor, poor Gourry. What makes this even more ironic to me is that I was just reading the Song of Solomon for one of my lit classes yesterday, and Gourry’s attempted compliments really aren’t much more mind boggling than the original. Poor, poor, poor Gourry.

WHAT! The Beastmaster is THAT Woman?!

Comments: I have had an utterly irrational fondness for this pairing for many, many years. I would try to figure it out, but I figure if it’s been more than three years, I don’t care. It’s two characters who never met in series, who you barely meet in series, who nonetheless work well together. And it’s really fun to watch Lina’s reaction. Although if Harukami manages to pull me back into Slayers fandom I may cry.

Summary: …Trying to summarize this is like trying to summarize all three Slayers seasons. Except the person’s already familiar with Slayers, and just wants to know the plotline. Of three different novels. Not gonna.
Comments: Well, I just sat down at my computer to read fanfiction for the first time today, and am totally not finding anything in the fandoms I’m currently into. So I decided to rec one of my old favorites instead. This is an amazingly well done series of fics that are long, well-written, and actually do manage to keep a lot of the feel of Slayers one they’re into a plotline. (Admittedly, I frequently find Slayers’ filler eps to be the most entertaining. THat isn’t the point.) It’s just…it’s the sort of fic that got me into fanfiction in the first place.
Notes: I am getting neosporin all over my bloody keyboard while typing. My damn cat managed to bite my hand right where the wound’s reopened every time I move my fingers. And it’s infected. And I wanted to bitch, dammit. And let you know that if I’m not reccing much for the next couple days, blame my cat.
