Liquidating The Assets
Characters/Pairings: Subaru/Seishirou, Dragons of Earth.
Warnings: Crossdressing. Sexual innuendo. Mentions of prostitution.
Summary: When the Dragons of Earth run out of funds, desperate measures must be taken.
Comments: I laughed and laughed and laughed some more. The mental images are just beyond hilarious. And the reactions are immensely fun. I’ll admit to having some issues with characterization here, but in that immensely fun genre that is crack, I don’t always mind it.
One-shot, complete

Family Traditions
Characters/Pairings: Subaru/Seishirou, Subaru/Seishirou/Setsuka threesome, Hokuto
Warnings: Implied incest?
Summary: After death, they reunite.
Comments: I should not be as amused by this fic as I am. But the utterly outrageous way Setsuka is hitting on Subaru and the way Setsuka and Seishirou are double-teaming Subaru never fails to amuse me.
Notes: I’m not going to be home tomorrow from six in the morning to midnight. And I don’t have a laptop. (My brother does, but I doubt I can get him to lend it to me for the day). So I won’t be reccing tomorrow unless I figure out how to post-date posts. Which I might do. Depending on if I finish the other stuff I need to do tonight. But don’t be too surprised if I don’t rec tomorrow.
One-shot, complete.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, X/1999October 15, 2005 9:25 am

Dancing With My Shadow
Characters/Pairings: Tsubasa!Seishirou, X!Seishirou
Warnings: None
Summary: Seishirou has an interesting conversation with Seishirou.
Comments: This is just completely and utterly how a fic like this should be written. The two Seishirou’s are appropriately wary of each other, yet intrigued by the other, and the parallels and the foreshadowing and the discussions on fate made me grin like the fangirl I am.
One-shot, complete.

Rewriting The Rules
Characters/Pairings: Subaru/Seishirou, Hokuto/Kotori, Fuuma/Kamui. Also a little Fuuma/Subaru, but not much
Warnings: Non-graphic sex, emotionally retarded characters, yaoi, yuri. (I decided to start warning for yaoi and yuri again to up my google keyword count. If you’re curious)
Summary: Subaru is a history teacher, and Seishirou is his student from hell. Will Subaru get through the year without being molested by his student? AU, obviously.
Comments: …Crack should not be this entertaining. And cute. And utterly, utterly brilliant. My absolute favorite part is the opening paragraph of an essay Seishirou wrote for Subaru:
“Education, as a facet of human existence, is one of the most important and universal aspects of society. Despite cultural differences and conflicting belief structures, it is common to every civilisation throughout history, distinguishing us, as does the faculty of language, from other animal species. What, then, is the significance of education that makes it such an imperative feature of a civilised people? It is not the content, nor the structure; different things are taught in different countries at different times, and they are taught in as many different ways as there are cultures. Nor is it the identity of student or teacher, for education has not always been as accessible as it is today. And this, sensei, brings me to my most important point: I couldn’t give a shit about the significance of education in human society. In fact, I’m a lot more interested in the idea of bending you backward over your desk and making you beg, so I’m going to write an essay about that instead.”
Pity Subaru.
Multi-chapter, complete. (A note on navigation: Links to the next chapter are at the bottom of each chapter. So I don’t feel the need to link to each chapter. Isn’t that convenient?)

Delirium
Characters/Pairings: Seishirou/Subaru
Warnings: None
Summary: Subaru should know better than to allow himself to faint in public. After all, who knows what sort of unsavory people might take it into mind to kidnap him? Besides Seishirou, I mean. Or not.
Comments: It’s cute, and fluffy, and still more than a little fucked up. Just what a Seishirou/Subaru fic should be. There were a couple of absolutely classic lines in there. And Subaru on painkillers is cute.
One-shot, complete.

A Necessary Evil
Characters/Pairings: Seishirou, Subaru, random OC
Warnings: …None?
Summary: Is there a great evil hiding in the head of the Sumeragi clan?
Comments: This is just one of those fanfics that I just honestly regret that there is only one chapter. It’s a fascinating idea, in the hands of one of the very few authors I trust to pull it off. And the prologue is excellent and fascinating. And I just wish there were more.
Theoretically multi-chapter, incomplete.

Five Things That Never Happened to Kotori Monou
Characters/Pairings: Yuzuriha/Kotori, Kamui/Kotori, Fuuma/Kamui, Fumma/Kamui/Kotori. And Kotori-centric gen.
Summary: See title.
Comments: I’ve had this in my bookmarks for ages upon ages and apparently never recced it. I have an inexplicable fondness for the girls of X (I like the boys too, but there’s so much fic for most of them that I’m kind of sick of it. The girls on the other hand…) Kotori was never my favorite character, though - too weak, too nice, too boring. But these flesh her character out wonderfully. My favorite’s the one where Kotori and Fuuma decide to share Kamui, but we knew that, didn’t we?
One-shot, complete.

Of Mothers And Sex Advice
Characters/Pairings: Seishirou/Subaru, Setsuka.
Warnings: Sexual situations
Summary: When Seishirou finally brings Subaru to his bed, he finds he has a too-helpful ghost giving him advice.
Comments: I like this fic. It’s absolutely hilarious, and I like the vaguely threesome vibes I get from it. (You know, I actually think I read a true Subaru/Seishirou/Setsuka threesome once. I just wish I could remember where). Setsuka’s “helpful” advice cracks me up.
One-shot, complete.

X/1999April 9, 2005 12:51 pm

Happy Families
Pairings: Seishirou/Subaru, Kamui/Fuuma
Warnings: Crack.
Summary: Seishirou will have his idea of a proper family.
Comments: I have an utterly irrational fondness for fics that have Seishirou and Subaru adopting Kamui as their kid. I know it’s irrational. I know that pigs are likely to fly before that ever happens. But dammit, I find it funny. And this is amazingly well-done, and utterly, side-splitting hilarious.
One-shot. complete.

Crossovers, Card Captor Sakura, X/1999April 3, 2005 6:37 pm

Card Captor Onmyouji
Pairings: Touya/Yukito, Kamui/Fuuma, Seishirou/Subaru, and implied Tomoyo/Sakura and Sonomi/Nadeshiko. Oh, and a bit of Sonomi/Seishirou. Mentioned in the past.
Warnings: Much crackness.
Summary: Touya, Yukito, Sakura, and Tomoyo go to Tokyo.
Comments: At one point, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. Possibly when Seishirou, who is now Tomoyo’s father, wondered if she’d gotten the stalker gene from him. Or when Subaru mused that he was almost certain that Seishirou wasn’t going to be stalking and molesting little girls because he had quite a bit of evidence that Seishirou was gay. I just could not stop laughing at this.
One-shot, complete

Crossovers, Prince of Tennis, X/1999March 29, 2005 9:36 am

Untitled
Pairings: Standard X ones.
Warnings: The crackiest crack that has ever cracked. And yaoi, of course.
Summary: An X/PoT fusion. What happens when the PoT characters replace the X characters?
Comments: You know, I expected this to be stupid. And to be fair, it sort of is. But it’s funny. And the interactions between Subaru!Tezuka and Seishirou!Atobe cracked me up. And the scene where they had to try to convince Ryoma that he was Kamui, dammit, had me so very amused.
Side notes: Blame my brother for the lack of updates. He just got me readdicted to Civ II, dammit. And it looks like I’m about to get into a war with the Germans, who have twice the military I do. Dammit. Have I mentioned that I really really suck at Civ II?
Series of connected ficlets, may or may not be complete.

Crossovers, Yami no Matsuei, X/1999, Tokyo BabylonMarch 14, 2005 1:52 pm

Yami no Kopi-raito
Pairings: Implied Subaru/Seishirou, Muraki/Tsuzuki, and Muraki/Hisoka
Warnings: You need to have acquaintance with all the series involved to understand this.
Spoilers: …Is there anyone who doesn’t know about Muraki/Hisoka and Subaru/Seishirou’s past? Who would care about reading this?
Summary: Seishirou dislikes copies.
Comments: I was checking my referrers and got someone looking for “Hisoka and Subaru similarities” which reminded me of this fic. It’s weird and funny. My type of fic.
One-shot, complete.

X/1999, Tokyo BabylonMarch 11, 2005 1:32 pm

Ecclesiastes 3:1:8
Pairings: Mentioned Seishirou/Subaru
Warnings: Deathfic. Sort of.
Summary: The world changes, and at last Subaru can put down his duty.
Comments: This is just…wow. I don’t have enough words to say about this. It’s beautiful and touching and thought-provoking and just fascinating.
One-shot, complete.

X/1999, Tokyo Babylon 1:13 pm

Your Eden
Pairings: None
Warnings: Angst
Summary: What happens if Subaru’s the one to die?
Comments: I like this interpretation of the old “What happens if the other twin survives?” idea. Hokuto, bitter but still recognizably herself, mentoring Kamui and dealing with her brother’s responsibilities. Here, Sephy’s tendency towards long paragraphs of description works for me, as it’s dealing with how Hokuto’s fashion sense changes after Subaru’s death. And it’s just good.
One-shot, complete.

Crossovers, X/1999, Here is GreenwoodMarch 10, 2005 1:02 pm

Abandoned Dreams
Pairings: Gen
Warnings: None
Summary: Shinobu gets tired of Misako’s antics, and summons his cousin, Sumeragi Subaru, to deal with her. Kamui and Mitsuru conspire.
Comments: Okay, these are two series that I never would have expected to see crossed together. The angst fest of X mixed with the light dorm comedy that is Greenwood is just…odd. But here, the author doesn’t make the mistake of trying to mix all the characters in the series. SHe concentrates on just four: Mitsuru, Shinobu, Kamui, and Subaru. And she makes sure that their interaction is believable. Something I should note though, is that if you haven’t read Greenwood, you’ll probably not want to read this. It seems to be mostly a Greenwood flavor fanfic.
Multi-chapter, complete.

X/1999March 9, 2005 4:54 pm

Five Things That Never Happened to Yuzuriha Nekoi
Pairings: Yuzuriha/Kusanagi, Yuzuriha/Satsuki, Seishirou/Yuzuriha (mentions of Seishirou/Subaru and implications of past Seishirou/Hokuto)
Warnings: Um, mentions of character deaths, I suppose.
Summary: Five things that never happened to Yuzuriha
Comments: One of my favorite memes moving around fandom is the “Five things that never happened to *insert character here*”. It seems to almost always be done well. (Actually, I have a half-written “Five things that never happened to Conrad” fic scatted around a couple of notebooks that I should finish). But back to the comments on this fic.

It’s good. It’s very good. Yuzuriha is one of those characters who I overlooked for the more obvious fangirl targets like Kamui and Fuuma at first, but the more I become familiar with X, the more I like her. She’s nice and sweet and cheerful and caring without being stupid, and that is a rare, rare trait in anime girls. This series of fics develops her nicely, and Tiamatschild definitely has a flair for phrase. “Yuzuriha’s smile is sweet, but there is sharpness in it, like glass razorblades delicately folded into whipped cream.” That’s a phrase that has stuck in my mind ever since I first read the damn thing over a year ago, because it’s just…I like the contrast between sweetness and light and the grimness that all X characters seem to have.
One-shot, complete.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Crossovers, XXXHolic, X/1999March 8, 2005 8:29 pm

Travel Companions
Pairings: Implied Seishirou/Subaru, but probably not the Seishirou you’re thinking
Warning: Slash
Summary: Post-Rainbow Bridge Subaru decides he wishes to travel the worlds. Yuuko, being the wise, amused, and sadistic person she is, assigns him the first and last travelling companion you would imagine. Yes, Tsubasa!Seishirou.
Comments: If it’s a Tsubasa fic, I’m never quite sure whether to count it as a crossover. Especially if it also has a lot of XXXHolic stuff in it. That aside, this is the perfect solution to what happens to Seishirou in X. I mean, hell, Clamp’s even kind enough to provide their own spare Seishirou, for Subaru’s personal use, I’m sure. The fanfic itself is not extraordinarily well-written, but it’s good, solid writing that suits the fic. And the concept is wonderful. I really enjoyed the omake, too.
One-shot, complete. Optional Subaru-POV followup available as well.
