Yami no Kopi-raito
Pairings: Implied Subaru/Seishirou, Muraki/Tsuzuki, and Muraki/Hisoka
Warnings: You need to have acquaintance with all the series involved to understand this.
Spoilers: …Is there anyone who doesn’t know about Muraki/Hisoka and Subaru/Seishirou’s past? Who would care about reading this?
Summary: Seishirou dislikes copies.
Comments: I was checking my referrers and got someone looking for “Hisoka and Subaru similarities” which reminded me of this fic. It’s weird and funny. My type of fic.
One-shot, complete.

Five Things that Never Happened to Hisoka
Pairings: Tsuzuki/Hisoka, Hisoka/Hijiri, random man/Hisoka, references to Muraki/Hisoka
Warnings: Lots of non-graphic sex. Very dark.
Summary: Five things that never happened to Hisoka
Spoilers: Up through the Gensoukai arc.
Comments: Okay, I know I’ve recced another five things story, but hell if I can find it. Basically, the challenge is pick a character, and write five AU vignettes. And Hisoka is a good character to do that with. These vignettes are fascinating, beautiful, and mostly heartbreaking. Brigdh has a definite way with words.
One-shot, complete.

Odd Incidences of Strange Coincidence
Pairings: Tsuzuki/Hisoka
Warnings: None, really. Vague yaoi.
SUmmary: A series of AU drabbles.
Comments: Oh my god, someone did a Shakespearean Yami drabble. I think I am in love. ^_^ That aside, I actually think I like the last one the most. It’s the longest, and implies the most, and something about it just intrigues me.
One-shot, complete.

A Sway And A Roll
Pairings: None
Warnings: None
Spoilers: for King of Swords Arc
Summary: “Tsubaki-hime is expected to be pretty. She is. Being smart was never as important.”
Comments: That line, and this fic, have firmly stuck in my mind ever since I read it about two years ago. It’s rare to find stories that make one-note characters this complex and this interesting. It’s just a fascinating look at Tsubaki.
One-shot, complete.

Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick
Pairings: None
Warnings: None
Summary: Hisoka comes up with a unique solution to get people to shut up.
Comments: I kept going back and forth on whether I liked this fic enough to rec it. It’s good, it’s just…the concept seems a little too stupid for me to enjoy it. But I still enjoyed it. It’s just…a mallet? I did really love Hisoka and Tatsumi’s conversation, so it’s getting recced though.
One-shot, complete.

The RPS Porn Drabbles
Pairings: Tatsumi/Tsuzuki, and Watari/Tsuzuki
Warnings: It’s titled the RPS Porn Drabbles. Do I need to say that it has some sexual content? Of the yaoi variety, obviously.
Summary: Tsuzuki discovers some porn Watari has written about him and Tatsumi and decides to give him some helpful advice.
Comments: This is just great. It completely mocks all those over-romanticized lemons I hate, and it has porn. With liner notes as Tsuzuki explains how Tatsumi is his usual repressed self even during sex. No really. And attempts to illustrate some better positions for sex with stick figures. I could not stop laughing the first time I read this.
One-shot, complete.

The Sugar Project
Pairings: slight Tatsumi/Watari
Warnings: None
Summary: Watari decides to experiment on his coworkers. This time, he is testing the effects of sugar on Shinigami.
Comments: This cracks me up. It’s so something Watari would do, and the way he write the experiment and his comments on it are hilarious. And the idea of Watari distributing Pixie Sticks to his coworkers and standing around with a notebook to watch their reactions is hilarious.
One-shot, complete.

Sleep to Dream Series
The Ending Hour
Shadows of Ourselves 1 2
Walking Wounded
Somewhere in the Middle
Breathe You In
Catching Stupid’s Arrows
Pairings: Tsuzuki/Hisoka, past non-con Muraki/Hisoka, Tatsumi/Watari
Warnings: Past non-con, sexual content, yaoi
Summary: As Hisoka begins to adjust to his new partner, Tsuzuki, he has dreams warning him of disaster should he become to close.
Comments: This is a good series. It’s a fairly long read, and frankly, the author tends to get a tad wordy in places, but the characterization, and the intriguing plot, and slowly developing relationship between the two is just…fascinating. And her characterization of Watari is fun and bubbly and decidedly entertaining. And the picture doodle mascot is hilarious. And I don’t get to see series that do a good job of paralleling the series and developing it very often. Mostly, they have no plot of their own and just work to do character insights. Which will entertain me for a while, but I love love love adore this sort of managing to add a whole nother storyline to the series.
Side note: I’ve done twelve recs today. 0.0 Blame being too sick to move from the computer, I guess. It took me five minutes to walk from my bedroom to the kitchen to get a drink. My stomach hurts, dammit.
(Yes, I just wanted to whine.)
Series of one-shots, incomplete.

Crossovers, Yami no Matsuei, Card Captor Sakura, Prince of Tennis, Miscellaneous, Good OmensMarch 7, 2005 3:03 am

Tennis Sanctuary
Pairings: Lots. And lots. And lots. Once a series starts with the orgies, I’m just giving up on writing the pairings, okay?
Warnings: Slash. Crack. Some graphic sex scenes, but those are warned about.
Summary: What happens when angels, demons, and shinigami start interfering with the PoT boys? Crack and sex, mostly.
Comments: This is a series of loosely connected drabbles written by three main authors. As such, the tone tends to vary from anything from drama, to angst, to complete and utter crack. You have not lived until you have read Ryoma’s suggestion for what Heaven and Hell should do instead of fighting. I also really enjoy their interpretation of Yukimura’s character, even though I get the feeling he’s just a tad more dangerous than in the original series. Still, it’s great fun.
Multi-chapter, open-ended.

The Art of Cake Decorating
Pairings: None
Warnings: None
Summary: Tsuzuki learns why you don’t irritate mad scientists
Comments: *giggles madly* I promise not to rec drabbles very often, but this is one of those rare ones that I go back and reread because it’s just so perfectly the characters, and so funny, and so very well done. And I love Watari.
One-shot drabble, complete.
